3. Book accommodation well in advance, especially in peak season.
4. Purchase your motorway vignette if travelling by car.
5. Download offline maps and the ÖBB app for transport navigation.
6. Research regional events and book tickets for popular attractions.
7. Pack appropriate clothing for the season and planned activities.
8. Familiarise yourself with Austrian road rules and speed limits.

• Download the ÖBB app for real-time train and bus information.
• Book popular attractions (Schönbrunn, Salzburg Fortress) in advance.
• Carry a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) if applicable.
• Pack layers — Austrian mountain weather can change rapidly.
• Carry cash for rural areas, markets, and small guesthouses.
• Familiarise yourself with Austrian road signs and speed limits.
• Respect quiet hours (Ruhezeit) in residential areas: 22:00–06:00.

• Register at your accommodation (Meldezettel) if staying over 3 days.
